The Story Behind The Scent
In the heart of Palestine, a fragrance was born that tells the charming story of Zaref ATool, the tall young man whose handsome image resonates throughout the world, and whom nations have praised in honor of his spirit, becoming a symbol of struggle, freedom, hope, and resilience.
Between the past and the present, this fragrance takes you on a journey inspired by the warmth of nostalgia for the homeland, where you are captivated by the scents of Oud, Oak, Wood, and Spices blended with Zafran and the sweetness of Lavender and Vanilla, embodying the memory of the Palestinians history in a perfume bottle that you can carry with you wherever you go.
Ingredients
Oud
The ancient alleys of the Old City in Jerusalem resonate with the aromatic embrace of oud wood. This historical fragrance encapsulates the rich tapestry of memories, binding us to our ancestors through the lingering essence of oud and incense. The Old City's alleys tell tales of time, and Zaref Atool beautifully captures the deep connection between scent and heritage, allowing wearers to embark on a sensory journey through the storied streets of history.
White Oak
The white oak wood sourced from the ancient mountains of Jerusalem. The scent evokes the majestic, enduring spirit of the region's landscapes. adds a warm, earthy note to the fragrance, embodying the resilience and timelessness of the Jerusalem mountains. Zaref Atool weaves the aromatic narrative of this noble wood into a sensory journey, connecting wearers to the cultural tapestry of Palestine.
Saffron
Saffron, the "red gold" of Palestine, adorns Zaref Atool with its opulent fragrance. Among the most prized plants globally, Saffron's allure lies in its potent aroma and taste. saffron has been cultivated for centuries, echoing tales of ancient trade routes. Thriving as a wildflower in the Galilee, Jordan Valley, Nablus, and Jenin, saffron weaves its storied history into Zaref Atool, creating an olfactory journey that resonates with Palestine's storied past.
Lavender
The Golan's fertile land boasts diverse crops, notably the fragrant lavender fields. Lavender, renowned since ancient times, carries a delicate scent cherished for its applications in alternative medicine, cosmetics, and perfumery. This aromatic legacy finds resonance in Zaref Atool Fragrance, drawing inspiration from the rich historical tapestry of lavender from Golan's blossoming fields to a perfume bottle, the essence of lavender weaves through time, connecting nature's bounty with the artistry of fragrance creation.
Stumbled upon this brand online by coincidence, I could not be happier to see a true niche brand from beloved Palestine with such level artistry and craftsmanship.
When my bottle of Zaref Atool was delivered to me, I was simply amazed by the beautiful and professional presentation and most importantly by the perfume.
Have not smelled anything like this before..
Dry sharp spicy woody perfume with a soft metallic nature - no sweetness here.
Ginger and saffron take center stage, rose and clove in a supporting act.
The idea behind this creation is to encapsulate the smell of historic old town of Jerusalem’s streets with all its vibe and culture.
I can’t comment on the accuracy of this refence since I have never been there, but I can say that this perfume has a pure oriental soul.
It does somehow smell ancient. It takes me through a passage of time - to a magical bygone time that I can’t pinpoint.
Perhaps the marketing behind it lured me into this way of thinking but nevertheless it is spot on in being a nostalgic scent.
Something smells familiar, it tickles your senses, can’t stop imagining myself walking in an Arabic spice market from 1000 years ago.
That does not mean it is outdated; it is a beautiful scent for a young guy especially in springtime – there is a slightly aromatic lavendery side to it.
All in all, I am very happy with my purchase, it is a unique scent for sure.
Wish the creators behind this brand all the success in the world.
Hoping to be able to visit Jerusalem one day and see them in person.
Very rich with many layers of scent

For a long time, I had been searching for a perfume that truly suited me.
When I discovered Zaref Atool just two weeks ago, I immediately knew I had found exactly what I was looking for.
I use it every day and enjoy it anew each time.
Thank you,
Ayat Ramot
A beautiful and intriguing masculine scent, without being loud or metallic. Oak, oud and cashmeran together remind me a bit of an excellent cedar (the oud they use is not at all barnyardy); ginger and saffron are used to add to the whole, softly, not sharply; I also pick up cardamom, even a bit of dry cacao. Definitely not floral at all (which I wouldn’t mind, but it’s not a theme here), nor sweet nor gourmand. It creates a unique trail (kind of sensuous, clean, and different from French perfumery); long-lasting in the sense of a skin scent that brings out the best in my own scent. I am happy to have discovered this Palestinian perfumers.
